Aimee's Profile

Experience Summary

I have worked with children and adults of all ages, so I am very flexible and can related to the wide array of people that some events can draw. I also have a degree in Fashion Design which helps me understand the importance of merchandising and making the product look appealing to the target market. My goal is to make sure that the customer has a positive experience and that your product is represented well. My husband (Eric Showalter) and I have worked on many promotions together. We both are hard workers and have been rehired by agencies because of our reliability, responsiblilty and diligence. We like to travel and would enjoy working on a tour together. One of the most recent achievements is I organized and executed a fund raising banquet for a non-profit organization. I helped plan and oversaw the schedule, dinner, volunteers, decorations, guest speakers, donations, silent/live auction, posters, stage design, powerpoints and many other small details. It was a lot of meticulus work but we received multiple comments on how great the evening was. View my contact details, availability, and stats.

Other Experience

Because I proved on the first event that I was a good hard worker with Verizon FIOS, Chrysler, Volvo, Nature Best Dog Food, US Cellular and House of Hope Northeast Indiana, I was rehired for one or multiple other events in the area.

Other Skills

I have a degree in Fashion Design. So I have an eye for design, an ability to draw and sew.

  • Concerts & Sports Event

With Verizon FIOS I worked a Fort Wayne Freedom Football Game, Wizards Baseball game and small bar concerts in which we informed customers on FIOS and had them sign up for a free drawing to win autographed footballs/baseballs or gift certificates. At the 2009 Indy 500 I distrubuted samples of Coke Zero and performed surveys . Organized, designed and managed a booth for House of Hope Northeast Indiana at an outdoor summer concert.

  • Data Capture

With Chrysler I performed customer surveys on laptops after the test drives. Chrysler also had photo cards in which I would take customers photo by or in a vehicle, scan the card and give it back to them to look up there photo online at a later date. With the Volvo I would register them on the laptop as the came into the event.

  • Event Management

I was responsible for the Minute Rice promotion at a RV show. I had to transport display items, instruct brand ambassador on product, set up display, inform customers on product, engage customers in a positive experience, tear down display, ship display items back, and complete event survey forms. With House of Hope Northeast Indiana I organized their booth at an outdoor concert. Designed display board, ordered banner and sign. I organized and transported needed materials, instructed five high school students about HOHNEI and how to inform others, setup display, recieved info from attendees, tore down display, followed up with contacts. I also was in charge of putting together a banquet for this non-profit organization. I wrote scripts, did powerpoints, called for donations, organized an auction, planned evening events, over saw all aspects including dinner. We recieved many compliments on how well the evening turned out.

  • Greeter / Host(ess)

With Volvo I greeted customers as they came in and registered them for the event. I informed them on how the evening was going to go and directed them to the h'orderves being served. After the presentation and test drives I preformed surveys and answered any questions. With Soap Net's Beauty Lounge mall event I was a hostess that welcomed customers to get a free mini manicure and massage. I also informed them of the new show "MVP"

I would preform surveys as they waited in line. With Chrysler and Volvo customers I asked them the survey questions and entered into the laptop after they had test drove the vehicle(s) Olay and Coke Zero surveys were completed on a paper form.

  • Merchandising

With my fashion design, promotional and retail experiences I understand the importance of merchandising well. It is my goal to present the products or materials in an appealing way to the wide target market that some events may provide. This has been a part of every event I have done.

  • Merchandising (Plan O Gram)

I was a Men's Sales Supervisor at Kohl's. We used Plan O Grams to ensure that the new product was displayed properly and most attractively to increase sales.

  • Sampling

We handed out samples of Coke Zero at the Indy 500 and performed surveys. With Natures Best dog food we handed out 20lb bags of dog food. Olay I had four different products a consumer could sample. Minute Rice we were giving away boxes of rice along with other kitchen items.

  • Set Up / Labor

In all of the promotions I have worked I helped set up and/or tear down. With Volvo and Chrysler that was a very tedious job. All items had a specific place, so that it would all fit back on the trailor. Many times that was not in the job description but the managers saw how hard my husband and I worked and asked us to stay.

  • Technology

Verizon FIOS was all about new technology in this area. I learned alot about internet connection, speed and fiber optic cable. One of the things I love about promotions is learning about all of the different technologies. Whether that be internet, car engines/safety features, amazing new toys or even skin care products they all seem to have some sort of technology behind them and I find that very intriguing.

  • Tradeshows / Conferences

With Verizon FIOS we worked on two business tradeshows. We informed business people and companies on how FIOS can excell their companies. With House of Hope Northeast Indiana I worked a women's weekend conference, I designed the display board, organized the material we needed, informed attendees on HOHNEI, sold product, tore down display.

In Feburary 2010 I will be speaking to a group of 40 college students about "Crazy Love" and in March 2010 I will be speaking to 20 7th-9th graders about self esteem. So I am very comfortable with public speaking.
