Emily's Profile

Experience Summary

I have been in the industry six years, including four tours (two of them 8-12 months in length). My work in the last six months included representing Speedo at the 2012 Olympic Swim Trials, Assistant Manager of the nationwide Gameplay tour, and a month-long holiday launch for the Wii U. I will also be representing Jeep in the Chicago Auto Show. I have done everything from managing up to 25 staff at time and training staff on technical equipment, to demoing products and completing multiple daily recaps to driving a 44-foot gooseneck trailer and taking part in 10-hr, 1000+ pound setups. I have done touring, guerrilla marketing, flyering, product specialist work, and trade shows. View my contact details, availability, and stats.

Extra Information

  • Assistant Event Manager

I worked directly under the Tour Manager on an eight month tour for Charbroil Grills.

  • Brand Ambassador

I have represented many notable companies, including: Disney, Nintendo, T-mobile, Comcast, Diageo liquor brands (Captain Morgan, Jose Cuervo, Smirnoff, Johnny Walker, Don Julio, Jeremiah Weed), the U.S. Airforce, Nescafe, Juicy Juice, Butterfinger, Wonka Candy, and Turano Bread

  • Concerts & Sports Event

While on tour with Charbroil, we made stops at three NASCAR races (including the All Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway and Petit Le Mans) and tailgated at two rival collegiate football games (Old Miss vs. Tennessee and Ohio vs. Michigan). Also on our list of stops was Rick and Bubba's annual Turkey Toss! We setup at a few concerts, most notably Country Thunder in Wisconsin. (If you want to see pandemonium, show up when they open the gates day one.)

  • Demonstration

I have experience with in depth demonstrations both on and off mic. At the Nebraska State Fair, I was put on the stage for Nintendo's Wii Sports Resort. For Charbroil, I showcased the newest infrared grills as well as The Big Easy oil-less turkey fryer; I was trained on their other current products as well. For T-mobile, I demonstrated new phones as well as helping people through the Bill Shrink demo. For the U.S. Airforce, I helped showcase the newest technology demonstrated in their Stealth Car.

  • Event Management

I have managed many events in Chicago. The largest included overseeing two assistant managers, two B.A. teams of eight, and ten day laborers distributing over 200,000 candy bars at 10+ events throughout Chicago.

  • Flyering

I ran a flyering promotion for Comcast at the University of Chicago.

  • In Store Demonstrator

I showcased the newest infrared technology for Charbroil at both Lowes and Home Depots across the U.S.; I have also sampled Diageo liquors in stores throughout Chicagoland.

  • Roadshows

I was part of a three-person, eight month tour for Charbroil Grills in 2008. I demoed products both on and off mic, gave out samples, troubleshot the site kiosk and laptop, ran the weekly contest, oversaw temp staff in over thirty cities, distributed premiums, logged truck maintenance, shot video and pictures, completed event recaps, booked hotel rooms, and helped in my share of driving the tour's 44-foot trailer. I do not, however, have a CDL.

  • Sampling

I have sampled Nescafe coffee, Diageo liquors, Juicy Juice for toddlers, Butterfinger Buzz Bars, and Turano Bread. I also sampled Pilgrims Pride chicken, Delmonte pineapple, and King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls off Charbroil's infrared grills.

  • Set Up / Labor

During my time with Charbroil, we had over an hour setup and teardown that included heavy lifting and setting up tents. I also took part in setup/teardown for T-mobile and Juicy Juice.

  • Technology

I have experience troubleshooting site kiosks, as well as general computer troubleshooting/network setup. I also have experience shooting photos/video footage and some experience using a PA system.

  • Qualifications

B.A. English, Central College Several creative works published in campus publications; second place in campus wide short story competition.
